1.Introduction

With the large-scale installation of primary and secondary power grid equipment, the monitoring of power equipment is facing greater challenges, and the monitoring requirements of power grid companies and operation and maintenance departments for line data are also rising. Electric power operation data mainly includes parameters such as current, voltage, wattage, power, etc. The monitoring of these parameters can obtain the operating status of the line in real time, so as to determine the occurrence of line faults in the first time and provide strong support for the safety management of the power grid. At the same time, in the event of a power line failure or removal of the fault, timely switching control of the equipment in the controller can shorten the dead time of equipment operation caused by line failure, reduce the economic loss caused by long-term power outages, and ensure the Economic benefits and production efficiency.


2. Industry demand

Smart distribution network is an important part of the construction of smart grid. How to quickly and accurately locate and isolate the fault section when a phase-to-phase short circuit or ground fault occurs in the distribution line is the core of the development of the smart distribution network. Current problems and situations: (1) In harsh environments, the accuracy of line fault location is low; (2) Traditional manual line inspection is inefficient; (3) Power grid monitoring needs to achieve rapid fault location, reducing fault inspections and troubleshooting time.

3. System composition

The intelligent distribution network line fault indicator location system is composed of external signal source, acquisition unit, collection unit and master station system.

(1) External signal source: by installing a signal source at the neutral point of the substation grounding transformer or busbar/outgoing line, when a ground fault occurs in the distribution line, the signal source will automatically short-term dynamic resistive load, in the substation and the fault point A special current signal is generated between them, and through the code control of the resistance, the coded signal current superimposed on the load current is generated. The fault indicator installed at the outlet and line branch point of the substation will give an indication after detecting this current signal Information, so as to quickly locate the fault point.


(2) Acquisition unit: The fault indicator is the foundation of the entire system architecture and is used to collect real-time data of each installation point.


(3) Convergence unit: When the collection unit detects a fault in the line, it triggers a flashing alarm indication, and at the same time transmits the fault information to the convergent unit via 433MHz wirelessly, and the convergent unit uploads it to the master station through the 4G/3G/2G operator network system.


(4) Master station system: After the master station receives the fault information, combined with the GIS system, it quickly gives the alarm information of the specific location and type of the fault to help the operation and maintenance personnel quickly locate the faulty section and eliminate the fault.
